Growing Real Christmas Trees Since 2004
Andrew is a third-generation farmer and has been growing real Christmas trees since the early 2000s. He is the founder of Billingley Christmas Farm and, along with his wife Sally, he and his team are constantly striving to improve growing techniques to produce you your perfect Christmas tree.
In 2020, just prior to the Covid outbreak, the couple created a new Facebook group for likeminded growers to share ideas and concerns and Christmas Tree Growers UK was born. The timing turned out to be perfect as the first lockdown hit the UK and this became a way of Christmas tree growers keeping in touch.
Throughout his quest Andrew has tried many different products from around the world, resulting in a refined selection of items we find essential. In addition to this, following the success of the grower’s group, Andrew was approached by Danish company HD2412 (now Dalgas) and asked to take on the UK dealership of their product range. This has added another arm to the Christmas tree business and a range of grower accessories are available in our online store.
After many years of Christmas Tree production, wholesale trading and retail experience, Billingley Christmas Trees Ltd. is considered an expert in this field. Andrew and his team at Billingley Christmas Trees Ltd. are well versed in all aspects of production. Andrew himself, as manager and team leader, has a clear understanding of agriculture and agronomy, including pesticide and fertiliser application. He has over 30 years of experience and holds all relevant qualifications to substantiate this. Furthermore, by combining his extensive experience in arable crops, with recognised Christmas Tree growing techniques, he has a thorough understanding of how to keep trees healthy and in great shape.
